Edit Your Page

Typemill uses Markdown to create content. But don't worry: The visual editor of Typemill allows you to write in a WYSIWYG style (what you see is what you get). You can also switch to the raw-markdown mode using the sticky 'raw' button at the bottom right of the editor.

Working with Content Blocks

Content in Typemill is organized into blocks, which makes editing flexible and intuitive. Here's how you can manage them:

  • To edit: Click directly on a block to modify it.
  • To add: Use the buttons at the bottom of a block to insert a new block at the end of the page.
  • To add above: Hover over a block and use the "add" button to insert content above the current block.
  • To move: Drag and drop blocks to rearrange their order.

Add Advanced Content and Customizations

Typemill supports various content types, including:

  • Tables, quotes, images, files, and an automatic table of contents (TOC), videos, audios, and more.
  • Embedded media, such as YouTube videos or content from other platforms via plugins.
  • Advanced customizations for developers using {::] shortcodes to extend the editor's functionality.

With plugins, you can integrate almost anything into the editor, making Typemill both versatile and developer-friendly.
